We are excited to announce that we have changed our name to Campus Parking and Transportation Association. Since its organization in 1991, the former Midwest Campus Parking Association has grown to include members from around the world. Regardless of your campus population, parking situation, or location, someone in the CPTA works in a climate very similar to yours.

The mission of the Campus Parking and Transportation Association is to promote and represent the parking industry on the campuses of colleges and universities. The organization is committed to enhancing the professional image of parking and also serves as a unifying force in promoting state and local legislation through fostering partnerships with individuals.

We here at the Campus Parking and Transportation Association would like to invite you to join us and use our resources to find solutions to the problems we all face.

CPTA Mourns Loss of Doug Myers

CPTA mourns the loss of longtime University of Oklahoma Parking and Transportation Director Doug Myers. Doug passed away on April 17, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 64.

Doug was the OU Health Sciences Center director from 2010 until his passing. He was the director of both the main Norman campus and the OU HSC campus from 2010 to 2017. He spent more than 25 years in the department throughout his career.

Doug was very involved in CPTA. He served on the Board of Directors multiple years, and president in 2015, and took great pride in hosting the annual conference in Oklahoma in 2017. In addition to CPTA, Doug also served a term as the president of the Oklahoma Transit Association.

He will be greatly missed for his dedication to the University of Oklahoma, CPTA and the parking and transportation community.
